Returns and refunds

rawLight refund policy

Our products are covered by the Australian Consumer Guarantee.

No refunds are available for change of mind, finding a cheaper price elsewhere, or simply deciding you don't like the purchase.

Under Australian Consumer Law, you are entitled to a replacement or refund for products with a major problem as defined by law.

Full policy ↗

How do refunds work

If an agreement is reached to return goods, you must arrange return shipping and insurance at your cost.

Once returns are received and accepted, refunds are issued as store credit for a future purchase.

The credit covers the value of the returned goods only, not any shipping paid.

How do I make a transit warranty claim

Warranty claims must be submitted within 2 days of delivery.

If your goods were shipped with Australia Post, you will have to take the goods to the nearest post office outlet for inspection but only after we created a enquiry with a case number which will provide to you.

NOTE: This is not our rule. This is the rule implemented by Australia Post.

If your goods have been shipped with a courier, you then must complete the shipping damage claim procedure form.

We always aim to replace the goods where we can. If we are unable to replace the goods a store credit to the value of the damages will be generated.

Thank you for your understanding.

Sustainability

Our approach to sustainability

We prioritise eco-friendly, renewable, biodegradable, or recycled packing materials, where we can and partner with suppliers who share our commitment.

Our packaging is designed to be reusable, recyclable, or compostable, with clear labelling to help customers dispose of it responsibly.

Candle safety

Preparation before lighting

Place candles on a stable, heat-resistant, level surface. Keep at least 30 cm away from anything flammable. Trim the wick to 0.5 cm before each burn.

Inspect for cracks or damage, and remove all packaging.

Full safety guide ↗

Supervision during a burn

Never leave burning candles unattended or burn them while sleeping. Keep away from children and pets.

Maintain at least 7.5 cm between burning candles. Avoid strong drafts (fans, open windows, air conditioning).

Always use an appropriate holder.

Extinguish a candle

Use a candle snuffer, never use water (it can cause wax to splatter and crack glass).

Ensure the wick is no longer glowing before leaving the room. Allow the candle to cool completely before moving it.

Check for any remaining embers in the wick.

Recommended burn times

Burn rawLight pillar candles for at least 1–2 hours depending on diameter to achieve an even wax pool.

Monitor longer burns and rotate the candle 180° if it burns unevenly due to drafts.

Gently fold the edges inward while warm if wax builds up.

Estimated burn times

Beeswax tea lights burn for 6–8 hours.

Premium tea lights burn up to 9 hours.

Votive candles burn for up to 24 hours and should liquefy fully for even performance.

Floating candles burn for 7 and up to 12 hours.

Pillars, taper, dining and candles do have their estimated burn times advertised on the product pages.

Usage with allergies

rawLight candles consist of food grade paraffin blends, beeswax, and beeswax blends with 100% cotton wicks.

Always check product ingredients if you are sensitive to natural beeswax materials.

Use candles in well-ventilated areas.

rawLight does not manufacture fragranced candles.
